Cassette of a solar shade fitted at the head of an opening under the louvres of a pergola, the fabric stopped halfway down, outdoor lounge and woodland below

How it works

A cassette on top, two rails, a bar at the bottom.

The fabric winds on a tube housed in the cassette. It comes down between two double zip rails. The fabric stays caught in the rail: it does not flap in the wind.

The essentials

The motorized shade, in five lines.

Motorization covers the widest openings. Under 13 ft (4 m), a spring or a crank does the job, with no power supply. The motor sits inside the tube, within the cassette. Its travel limits are set once and for all.

Fabric and colours

The fabric and its openness factor.

The fabric is an outdoor cloth of 630 g/m², resistant to UV.

The openness factor is the share of the fabric that stays open. At 0% the shade is opaque. At 30% light and the landscape get through.
