Mandate
We mounted the pergola against the existing structure. The aim: as few columns as possible, and as much usable space as possible. The structure had a complex shape, and a covered patio already took up part of the room.
Our team had to be inventive. A structural engineer signed off on the loads. He also helped design the custom brackets. The installation is solid and stable.
We also built an outdoor kitchen in what is now a covered space. Shades and a privacy wall close off the sides. You sit there out of view. The owners gain one more room, outdoors, with all the comfort that comes with it.
